Barry Manilow came into our rescue program on May 23, 2018. Barry Manilow came into our rescue program from the Woodward County Sheriff's Office as a cruelty case along with 8 other horses. We spent many hours on location in Woodward County trying to save a horse that was down upon arrival. Finding a Veterinarian that would respond out in the field was extremely difficult. One Veterinarian stated that he could check on her the next morning but I refused to leave her there. We finally found a Veterinarian a little over an hour away that would come out and at least prep her for travel, while down, with fluids, etc. We had to call in another trailer, so that she could ride alone as we were prepared to load her whether she was standing or laying down. This sweet girl was not going to be left behind. She needed to see help arrived for her and her herd. Sadly, we lost that sweet mare shortly after arriving back home. Our Veterinarian met us here at midnight and we did all we could to save her, but sadly, her fight was done. But she knew she was safe and she nickered to her herd, where they responded back to her. At that moment, she left us. It breaks our hearts when we can't save one, but thankfully, her 7 remaining herd members made it out. Barry Manilow is a Beautiful, Roan, Quarter Horse, Stud. Barry Manilow is estimated to be 11 years of age. Barry Manilow is thin, body score of a 3 with extremely long hooves. Barry Manilow has some loose skin which tells us at one time this beautiful boy was obese. He is one of the horses in the best condition. All of the horses went about 2 weeks with limited access to water or anything edible. Barry Manilow is a sweet boy. He will be gelded prior to be available for available. This big handsome boy has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Barry Manilow's Rehabilitation.

Update August 2019 Barry Manilow is now seeking his forever, loving home. He looks great and is ready for a family to take him to the next level. Barry Manilow is broke to ride. However, he is going to need some refresher training, as it has been a long time since he was ridden with any consistency. He has a lot of potential and will make someone an excellent horse. Barry Manilow stands for the farrier and loads in the trailer. Barry Manilow has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating, gelding and hoof maintenance. We are thrilled that this sweet boy found the forever, loving family he deserves where he will be showered with love and attention.
